Regional education symposium draws a crowd
The First Hampton Roads Regional Public Education Symposium was a big hit at the Chesapeake Conference Center. It was attended by 342 business and community leaders, educators and interested citizens. They listened as all five area school district superintendents -- Dr. James Roberts from Chesapeake, Michael Spencer from Norfolk, Dr. David Stuckwisch from Portsmouth, Dr. Deran Whitney from Suffolk, and Dr. James Merrill from Virginia Beach
