Moyock Farm Market Story

MOYOCK FARM MARKET

Flowering Plants Mark Season of Celebrations!

by Jean Loxley-Barnard

Moyock Farm Market is the center of Jonathon Pittman's plan that continues a family tradition begun by his grandfather. Hayward Ward had a vegetable market in the late 1970s and early 80s and inspired his grandson to open one in 1990 at the age of ten! The tradition took root and grows, as does the town it graces, by leaps and bounds.

The number of families
frequenting the Market
as spring blooms
is so uplifting that it has
become a destination point.
Everyone is happy!
Children and parents alike.

The family business kept growing after Jon married his beautiful wife, Jamie, and they had a son and daughter-now teenagers! Jamie loves the social end of the business, getting to know customers by name and helping them find everything from the freshest vegetables and fruit to the freshest fish and meat. And now, there's the excitement of helping them select fresh flowering plants for their homes or to give as gifts.

Along with the classic favorites, the Pittmans provide seasonal favorites such as pumpkins and Christmas trees, always popular additions to the market at just the right time. The product of the month now, of course, is the fabulous selection of fresh flowering plants for Mom or for any of the many upcoming celebrations. The Moyock Farm Market is blooming!

The number of families frequenting the market as spring blooms is so uplifting that it has become a destination point. Everyone is happy! Children and parents alike enjoy the wide variety of ice cream cones in the center of the market, and everywhere there are happy customers.

Jon is also a part-time deputy sheriff, which comes as a surprise once customers see how much time the market requires. But this entrepreneur also loves his other job, which was once full-time.

Jamie confirms that her husband works 18-hour days-and loves what he does.
Go by and see for yourself why this popular farm market attracts families from near and far! And while you're there, treat yourself to some beautiful flowering plants!
