Lead Hampton Roads
Lead Hampton Roads is a program of Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce and the region's oldest and largest leadership organization, serving Hampton Roads since 1988. Five Hampton Roads leaders were honored at an event held at Norfolk Waterside Marriott Bravo! The honorees included First Citizen of Hampton Roads Harry T. Lester, President Eastern Virginia Medical School; Regional Statesman 2012 Thelma Drake, Director of Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation; President and CEO of Chesapeake Regional Medical Center Wynn Dixon, who received The Julian Hirst Alumni Distinguished Leadership Award; Visionary Leader William Hennessey, Director of The Chrysler Museum; Chief of Virginia Beach Fire Department, Steven Cover received the Courage In Leadership Award. Also honored was the Lead Hampton Roads Signature Class of 2012.
