Chesapeake Fire Department honors firefighters and citizens
The Chesapeake Fire Department held it's annual employee recognition awards ceremony at the Chesapeake Conference Center with Chief Timothy Sendelbach of Savannah, Ga., President/Founder of the Training &Education Services, being the guest speaker. Fire Chief, R. Stephen Best, Sr, presented special awards to firefighters and local citizens who have donated their services or materials to the Fire Department.

Jon Siebring, General Manager of the Marriott in Greenbrier, his wife, Mylene, and son Evan. Jon received the Citizen's Service Award for allowing the Fire Department use of the hotel for training purposes.
Six-year-old Taryn Thornton, received the Citizen's Service Award for calling 911 and saving her mother's life.
Firefighter/EMT Jeff Morales made special presentations to those fellow firefighters and members of the community who unselfishly gave to support his family when he was in Norfolk General Hospital.
