Wild Goose Rotary sponsors Veterans Day event
Veterans Day is a day for thanks, patriotic pride and, most importantly, remembrance. This Veterans Day cars lined up outside of the Veterans' Memorial park in Coinjock in order to show their respect to the millions who served, and are still serving, our country. Guest speaker Hugh Conlon IV talked about how it felt to be on the other side of freedom. Mr. Conlon served our country for 20 years as a Combat Medic in the U.S Army, and retired in 2007 as a Sergeant First Class. He received many awards including the Bronze Star and the Combat Medical Badge. The Currituck Wild Goose Rotary sponsored this event.
