Great Bridge Kiwanis celebrates 25 years of service to the community

Kiwanians from across the Southside from Virginia Beach to Smithfield and Williamsburg joined with Great Bridge Kiwanians at Cahoon Plantation in a gala celebration of the club's 25th anniversary. Kiwanis Capital District Governor Don Dudey made the trip from Reisterstown, Md., to join the festivities.

Great Bridge has been designated a Distinguished Club for 2009. To cap off the celebration, Great Bridge members presented Kiwanis's highest award, the Tablet of Honor, to current President Wayne and Past President Vancy Parrish. Since 1988, the efforts of this husband and wife team have been instrumental in making the Great Bridge Kiwanis the distinguished club it is today.
