Sheriff's Department delivers food baskets for the 22nd year

Chesapeake Sheriff John R. Newhart's Elderly and Indigent Victim's Assistance Program delivered over 100 holiday food baskets to needy families throughout Chesapeake. This is the 22nd year of this long-standing tradition, which was started by Sheriff Newhart to benefit elderly and indigent victims of crime. These holiday baskets provide a small aspect of Christmas for those less fortunate during the holiday season.
