Grand Opening of The Gateway At SoNo signals new era for South Norfolk
Even the sweltering temperatures of a late July day couldn't diminish the excitement and enthusiasm of more than 250 guests attending the long-awaited and much-anticipated Grand Opening of The Gateway At SoNo. The brand new complex
Steven Wright, Director of Economic Development for Chesapeake, was Master of Ceremony for the event, which was attended by a broad cross section of the city that included officials, community groups, businesses and residents.
The Ribbon Cutting was led by Chesapeake City Council Member Debbie Ritter, Susan Dewey, Executive Director of the Virginia Housing Authority; Jerry Harris, Development Manager of Gateway At SoNo; Mayor Alan Krasnoff; and Deputy City Manager Wanda Barnard Bailey. Jerry thanked Gateway At SoNo partners, city and state officials and the community for the collaborative effort and dedicated the day and the project to his late partner, Bill Judah. Bill's wife, Gay, and family were also in attendance
The Southeastern Physical Therapy team gave tours of their new location on the second floor of Gateway At SoNo.
