The Great Bridge Battlefield & Waterways History Foundation celebrated this year's annual Spring Fling dinner meeting by sharing some exciting news: ground will be broken on May 29 at 2 p.m. for the park portion of what will eventually be a park and visitors' center commemorating the Battle of Great Bridge. Sterling's Restaurant in Greenbrier will also host a fundraising event for the Foundation on May 14. The Foundation has already raised $3.2 million for the $6 million project.
