South Norfolk Civic League has its first meeting of 2009



Members of the South Norfolk Civic League met for the first time in 2009 welcoming both the New Year and a new president, Kevin Amick. Longtime residents of South Norfolk, Kevin, his wife, Tammi and their son, Adam, have all been active participants in the ongoing effort to revitalize their community. The first annual meeting was well attended as members caught up on new and old business alike impacting the South Norfolk area.

From left: Doug Hornsby and his wife, Betsy Fowler, attended the meeting along with Chesapeake Mayor Alan Krasnoff. Betsy is Director of Libraries and Research Services for Chesapeake. The city is planning to build a new library for South Norfolk.
