Light Rail meetings bring city partnerships
On Thursday, Dec. 4, a Joint Board Meeting of the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce; Portsmouth Partnership; Virginia Beach Vision; Chesapeake Alliance; Suffolk Tomorrow; Greater Norfolk Corporation; Central Business District Association and the Downtown Norfolk Council met at the Waterside Marriott for a presentation by Bob Morgan, President and CEO of the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce. Morgan spoke about the economic development impact of light rail in Charlotte as well as the role of the business community in making light rail a reality in Charlotte.
