46th Annual East Coast Surfing Championship
The ECSC is the oldest running surfing competition in North America. Each year an estimated 400 professional and amateur surfers travel to Virginia Beach to compete for the combined cash prize of $15,000. The competition included other sports, such as skim boarding, volleyball, a 5 K run, and extreme skateboarding. Live bands performed for free throughout the four-day event.
