The monthly meeting of the Portsmouth Sports Club was held at the Elizabeth Manor Golf and Country Club. Club president Sharon Moore announced the dates for the Reverse Raffle, October 28th and Christmas Social, December 18th.  Virginian Pilot sports reporter, Larry Rubama gave a thorough, in-depth analysis of this season's current high school football teams.  Mr. Rubama's message to young athletes is "you have to do it in the classroom, before you can get to do it on the field." Next sports club meeting is scheduled for Roger Brown's on September 18th at 6pm.
