Track and Basketball Teams Recognized for their Achievements - The Sports Club of Portsmouth honored the State Champion Boys Basketball team of I.C. Norcom High School and the Boys and Girls Indoor Track teams of Western Branch High School at their May meeting. The club was treated to a delicious picnic lunch served by Elizabeth Manor Golf and Country Club. Norfolk State University Athletic Director Marty Miller was the keynote speaker, emphasizing the college's philosophy of recruiting local athletes whenever possible.
