The Sports Club of Portsmouth held their March meeting at Elizabeth Manor Golf and Country Club. The newly redecorated dining room provided an excellent venue for the event. President Nicole McGowan congratulated the Jamboree committee for all their efforts in creating an enjoyable evening.  The award for Sports Person of the Year was presented to Eddie Webb. The guest speaker was Ed Miller, sports writer for the Virginia Pilot who discussed his ideas on covering sports figures.  Sports writing, Ed related is much more than covering the stats but the personal story of the athlete.
