Dolores Moore named Clerk of the Year by statewide association
Chesapeake City Clerk Dolores A. Moore, MMC, received the honor from the Virginia municipal Clerk's Association (VMCA), acknowledging her contributions for bringing innovative ideas to the Association, demonstrating a commitment to professional development, commitment to community involvement, extraordinary individual job performance and a positive on-the-job attitude.
Dolores has been Chesapeake's City Clerk for almost 20 years, and has served VMCA in several capacities, including President. She is a board member for the Unton YMCA, a member of Chesapeake's 50th Anniversary Committee, Chesapeake Environmental Improvement Council, and the International Institute of Municipal Clerks, among others.
She was presented a Certificate of Appreciation during the City Council meeting last month by Mayor Krasnoff and Members of City Council for her service to the City and her professional accomplishments.
She lives in Deep Creek with her husband, Rad, and has one daughter and two granddaughters.
