Long-time friends celebrate book publication at Deuce McGee’s

Dr. Bill Austin and wife Karen dined with old friends at Deuce McGee’s on a recent Friday night.  The popular local author and retired minister of Virginia Beach Christian Church on Great Neck Road, joined his long time friend Cliff Ireland, a Deacon of the church before moving to North Carolina.  Bill’s legendary humor surfaced as he presented his old friend a copy of his latest book with a box of crayons attached.

Bill presented Cliff with a copy of his second book Keeping It Safe and attached a box of crayons to joke with his old friend and former parishioner Cliff was a professor at Regent University before accepting a position as Director of the small business center at Sampson College in North Carolina Bill was pastor of a Virginia Beach Christian Church before retiring to write books and accept speaking engagements in addition to counseling part time at Tidewater Pastoral Counseling
Karen Austin joined the group after setting up her classroom at White Oaks Elementary
