Community leaders, colleagues, friends and family recognized Albert J. Taylor as Portsmouth’s First Citizen for 2008 for more than 30 years of outstanding volunteer service to his community. A distinguished leader, Rotarian and respected attorney, Al is credited with helping many nonprofits throughout Hampton Roads. He is also a Paul Harris Fellow, serves on the board of the YMCA of Portsmouth and on the advisory boards for The Portsmouth Community Foundation and the Hampton Roads Youth Center.
