Annual Samoa Soiree draws a crowd
The Girl Scout Council of Colonial Coast (GSCCC) recently held its 4th annual Samoa Soiree at the Westin Virginia Beach Town Center. Top chefs from all over Hampton Roads used Girl Scout Cookies as key ingredients in unique dessert and appetizer recipes. More than 200 guests had the opportunity to sample each of the creations and voted on their favorite as People's Choice. Among the guest judges who were tasked to select the Judge's Choice winners were WVEC News Anchor Vanessa Coria, Hampton Roads Magazine Editor-In-Chief Melissa Stewart and Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Old Point National Bank, Laurie Grabow. The Jeff Smith Trio provided live musical entertainment and the night included complimentary champagne and a silent auction. Highest bidders of the silent auction took home ODU football tickets, a Harlem Globetrotter autographed basketball with game tickets, items from Long Jewelers and much more! Recipes to all of the Girl Scout Cookie creations can be found on our website at gsccc.org.
