G Gathering A Historical Holiday Event

A Historical Holiday Event

The Whalehead Club is a historical museum located in the Currituck Heritage Park in Corolla, NC. It was built in the 1920's and used as a residence for the Knight family; the architecture of the house was inspired by the Knight's love for Art Nouveau. The Whalehead Club is open to the public for tours, and during the holidays tour guides tell the many stories of the Knight family to the guests who visit. This year the Whalehead Club had its 5thAnnual Holiday Illumination Celebration. During the illumination a large cedar tree is lit with numerous holiday lights simultaneously with the Currituck county Lighthouse. Carriage rides were available to the guests along with complementary hot chocolate.
