Thirty-one Chesapeake Students Receive Scholarships, Stipends, Certificates During New Chesapeake Men for Progress Education Foundation Breakfast
Twenty-one Chesapeake High School Seniors received academic awards before a record crowd of more than 570 individuals during the Eleventh Annual Black Male Achievement and Scholarship Awards Breakfast sponsored by the New Chesapeake Men for Progress Education Foundation, Inc. (NCMPEF) in April. Ten students, one outstanding student from each of the Chesapeake middle schools, were also recognized and awarded Outstanding Achievement Certificates by their Middle School Principals or representatives. Mr. Eugene D. Holloman, author, youth mentor, and former All-American football player delivered a passionate speech of encouragement, hope, and perseverance.
