Primrose School at Cahoon Commons four and five-year-old students pushed shopping carts, scanned shelves and filled grocery bags with non-perishable foods to help local families in need. The students took a field trip to Farm Fresh in Chesapeake, and all purchases were donated to the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia.
 
As part of the school's Caring and Giving program, students at Primrose School at Cahoon Commons spent the last month collecting food donations and doing extra chores at home to earn money for those in need. The children combined their earnings and created a detailed shopping list before hitting Farm Fresh for the next step of their project.
