60th Year reunion keeps the memories special
The Great Bridge-Hickory High School graduating class of 1948 had its 60th year reunion luncheon at TowneBank's Towne Hall in Great Bridge. As the first combined high school graduating class, the memories of that special time have been kept through yearbooks, friendships and continuing to be a caring community. Of the 49 graduates, 21 shared in the luncheon reunion.

At graduation time of 1948, Jimmie Lee Bulifin lived in Great Bridge while Mary Alice was from Hickory, and the two married.
Evelyn Roberts invited her daughter Betty Kendall of Virginia Beach to enjoy the luncheon with her.
