Humane Society introduces
Chesapeake Humane Society recently introduced Yappy Hours at Signs by Tomorrow in Chesapeake. Yappy Hours will be a quarterly event to provide the public with the opportunity to meet Chesapeake Humane Society leadership staff and directors and learn about their programs and initiatives. It is their hope that by learning more about the mission and vision for animals in Chesapeake citizens will discover ways to engage with the organization. At Yappy Hours, individuals have the opportunity to speak one-on-one with leadership staff and the Board of Directors about volunteerism, ways to provide financial support, how to get involved in event planning and how to lend their expertise to the board of directors. The kick-off to this series of events raised $250 in donations.
If a business or individual is interested in making a donation or hosting an event for Chesapeake Humane Society, please contact Ellen Taylor at 757-546-5355.
