Chesapeake Rotary Honors 2011 First Citizen
The Chesapeake Rotary Club recently honored Shopper Publisher and CEO Jean Loxley-Barnard as Chesapeake's 2011 First Citizen. A clebratory banquet was held at the Chesapeake Conference Center and attended by over 400 friends, colleagues and well-wishers. The Main Sponsor for the event was the Chesapeake Regional Medical Center and the secondary sponsors were Towne Bank and the Old Point National Bank.
A video of Jean's life and accomplishments was produced by WCTV for the event, and presented by LeAnne Rains-Benedetto. Congressman Randy Forbes and Chesapeake Mayor Dr. Alan Krasnoff, presented Jean with plaques and President of Regent University Dr. Carlos Campo, was the keynote speaker.
