David Hanson and Chesapeake Rotary receive awards for outstanding leadership and service
The Rotary District 7600 Awards Celebration for the 2010-2011 year was recently held. The Chesapeake Rotary Club and its President, David Hanson, were one of the most honored clubs. Mr. Hanson won The Outstanding President's Award, one of only six awarded for Exemplary Leadership and Service. The Chesapeake Club also won the Presidential Citation Award, which is based on the Five Avenues of Service: Community Service, Vocational Service, International Service, Youth Service and Club Service. In addition, the Club also won a Most Improved Attendance award and the Award for Community Service for its initiation and sponsorship of the Chesapeake Wine Festival and the Chesapeake Christmas Parade.
