Visitors were treated to a presentation on a recent mission to the Philippines, which, as part of the Walking Free program, focused on the education and training of medical professionals involved in the treatment of amputees.
Two local volunteers, Michael Smith, a certified prosthetist orthotist, and Kelly Andrews, an art therapist, shared with the group their recent trip to the Philippines.
Charlie Henderson, left, Hampton Roads market president for Bank of America, presented the donation to Edward A. Heidt Jr., chairman of the Physicians for Peace Board of Trustees, during a ceremony at the group's headquarters in Norfolk
