Pungo Wine Festival 2017

People started arriving before noon and waited in line to attend the Pungo Wine Festival this May. The event was to benefit foster kids through Connect With a Wish, and was held at Back Bay Farms. Wineries from all over Virginia brought a variety of wines to be sampled and purchased, including several outstanding fruit wines and a chocolate dessert wine.

Clouds and a light breeze made it chilly but not uncomfortable.

Festival-goers came with chairs and coolers to enjoy the wine, local artists, live music and food trucks

Vivian of The Home Place Vineyard was thoroughly knowledgeable about her wines, including Old Red Tractor and Old Green Tractor

Troy from Williamsburg Winery shared a very special dessert wine, Vin Licorieux de Framboise, wine with raspberry
