29th Annual Senior Support Services Seminar
Recently, Sheriff Jim O'Sullivan hosted the 29th annual Senior Support Services Seminar. Over 1,800 senior citizens filled up the Chesapeake Conference Center for what is the largest event of its type for seniors in the Commonwealth of Virginia. The event is designed to help connect seniors with over 80 vendors to provide services, valuable financial and lifesaving information and health screenings, keeping the seniors informed and healthy. Everyone enjoyed the vendors, fellowship, entertainment, lunch and door prizes.
This event could not be possible if not for the support of corporate sponsors: Chesapeake Regional Medical Center, Dominion Virginia Power, Poole Brooke & Plumlee PC, TowneBank and Walmart. Special thanks to the Niners Seniors Club for their generous donation of $1,000 towards prizes.
