Shakespeares The Tempest shakes up the Virginia Arts Festival
In mid-April, Virginia Stage Company and Virginia Symphony Orchestra Chorus combined their creative forces in a potent production of The Tempest, featuring incidental music (Op.9) written specifically for this last play of Shakespeare's by Finnish composer Jean Sibelius. The audience was captivated by the spectacle, brought to life by VSC's Patrick Mullins and VSO's JoAnn Falletta.
