Portsmouth Sports Club Pick-up

The October meeting of the Portsmouth Sports Club was held at the Elizabeth Manor Golf and Country Club. President Ned McCabe announced that the Reverse Raffle will be held at the Ambassador Club. Eddie Webb introduced guest speaker Manny Upton, long time college basketball referee and father of major league baseball stars B.J. and Justin Upton.

Manny related that his main goal for his sons was for them to receive a good education. Their interest and success in athletics came about because of the boys' desire to excel on their own. He is extremely proud of their involvement in community service and helping the less fortunate.
