3rd Annual Pete Decker Memorial Golf Tournament
The picturesque Riverfront Golf Course in Suffolk turned out to be a beautiful backdrop for the 3rd Annual Pete Decker Memorial Golf Tournament. The Norfolk Sports Club puts on this tournament to show honor, respect, and gratitude to the memory of Peter G. Decker and all that he did for Hampton Roads. While the sun shone a little hotter than some of the golfers would have preferred, it did nothing to dampen the spirits of all participants. A definite success, the golf outing raised over $7,000, with all proceeds going directly to the Norfolk Sports Club Charities, supporting young athletes in Hampton Roads.
Norfolk Sports Club also took the time to honor WVEC's Scott Cash for his more than 28 years spent bringing sports to life for Hampton Roads. Scott was presented with a plaque as well as a Norfolk Sports Club cap, which proved useful against the blazing sun when he was invited to join in on the tournament as well.
