Fundraising Scholarship Event Draws a Crowd
Evan Collins was a volunteer EMT for the Kempsville Rescue Squad up until his death in May of 2011. In his memory, family and friends come together twice a year to raise money for The Evan Collins Memorial EMT Scholarship Fund so that another deserving young man or woman can pursue their dream of becoming an EMT. The Fundraiser was held at the El Gran Rodeo Mexican restaurant in Kempsville. Almost $1400 was raised at the event.
